Peterson will bust out tonight

Look for Adrian Peterson to get the ball early and often tonight against the Bears in Chicago on ESPN at 5:30 WST.  The Vikings need to win this game to maintain the number two seed in the playoffs so they will do whatever it takes.  Also if the Saints lose their next game and if the Viking win this game and the next they will get the number one seed.  Farve will dail it back today in part due to the weather.

Farve will play a cold-weather road game for the first time in five years.  Favre has lost his past seven road games with the temperature below 38 degrees.  Farve will be ok with just handing it off to AP, at least in this game.

The last thing Farve or any Viking’s fans wants to do is lose homefield.  As long as the Vikings keep homefield they won’t have to play in the cold, thanks to the Saints being the number one seed.  And we all know the Saints play in a dome as well.  Let’s not forgot Farve’s last cold game in the playoffs, where they lost to the Giants, with Farve just wanting the game to end.
