2012 MLB Home Run Derby

The 2012 MLB Home Run Derby is today at 5 PM WST on ESPN.  I know pitching has run a mock in Major League Baseball but for at least this one evening all you will see is home-runs at a rapid pace.  The American League will feature Robinson Cano, Prince Fielder, Jose Bautista and Mark Trumbo while the National League will feature Matt Kemp, Carlos Gonzalez, Carlos Beltran and Andrew McCutchen.  Last year I told you, “Here is the order of how I feel they should finish, Fielder/Ortiz (your pick), then the rest of the three American Leaguers (Bautista, Cano/Gonzalez (your pick))”.  Once again I feel the American League will win as a League.  Individually, with no David Ortiz in sight, seeing Prince Fielder lose gas last year and thinking Cano is not going to win back to back Home Run Derby’s I am going with Bautista who has been dieing to show the world what he can do (being stuck in Canada does that to people)!  For my backup pick Carlos Beltran, who is going to be having a homecoming of sorts, will also have a very good chance while showing his K.C. Royals fans from his first 6 1/2 seasons what they have been missing.
